  • General Medical Evaluations

    Good Samaritan Clinic establishes a health profile for patients, provide health screenings, and volunteer providers make diagnoses and recommend services as needed.

  • Diagnostic Testing

    Some diagnostic testing can be done in our clinics, other testing can be facilitated through healthcare partners. X-ray, MRI, lab panels, and many other services and specialist appointments can be referred out to low- or no-cost providers.

  • Health Screenings

    Screening for cholesterol levels, blood pressure and glucose can be done in our clinics in most situations.

  • Patient Education

    Patients with diabetes, high cholesterol and hypertension can learn to manage their chronic health condition(s) with education by providers and Community Health Workers, and with tools to monitor their health at home.

  • Prenatal Care (OB)

    Patients in their first and second trimesters can be seen at the West Columbia clinic by appointment only. Referrals are provided for third trimester care.

  • Women's Health (GYN)

    Patients can been seen at the West Columbia clinic by appointment only, and cancer screening can be done in clinic by the volunteer provider or with referral to our partners.

  • Mental Health Counseling

    The services of a licensed mental health professional may be available to patients who meet screening guidelines. Thanks to generous grantors in our community, this service is currently free of cost of qualified patients.

  • Referrals to Specialists

    If the health care provider determines a patient needs further evaluation, they may be referred to specialists for care. Community Health Workers are available to assist with this process.

  • Interpretation Services

    A portion of our patients benefit from Spanish language interpreters at our clinics.

  • Social Determinants of Health

    Our Community Health Workers are available to asses any needs of patients beyond physical health concerns. They can recommend services, organizations and community resources as needed.

  • Resource Navigation and Application

    Community Health Workers are available to assist with the process of connecting patients to medical center cost-assistance programs and government and community services.

Community Health Workers

  • Counsels patients and assists with applications to services (ie WIC, SNAP, Medicaid)

  • Directly connects patient referrals to low or no-cost partners that offer mental health, vision, dental and other services

  • Helps patients navigate and connects patients with resources that support housing, food, clothing or other needs
